		Introduction
		Printheads which are used in the Dot Matrix Printers (DMPs) develop certain problems after usage. Typically the problems are observed as missing dots or wavy printouts. Printhead Refurbishing is an activity which is used to overcome these problems with printheads. We offer Consultancy and Training to help you setup your very own print head remanufacturing centre. We can supply you with all the machines that are needed for this activity. Our machines are in use all over the world and these are highly appreciated by all our users.

		Process
		Printhead Refurbishing is a process in which the Printhead is opened. The faulty components are replaced with a new components, which makes it work almost like a new Printhead.
		Equipments
		Printhead Opening Jigs
		There are Jigs available for opening Printheads. These jigs put even pressure on the Printhead and hence the damages can be avoided.

		The pins in some Printheads are brazed to the hammers. This brazing is done with this machines. There are special fluxes and soldering material used while brazing.
		Spot Welding Machine (more...)
		In some Printer heads the hammers are spot welded on to spring plates. This machine is used to reweld the hammers to the spring plates. This is the only machine that is available which has been specifically designed for this application.
		Lapping and Polishing Equipment
		The Pins are cut off and leveled properly with these tools. Diamond files, oils stones, cutting discs are used for this prupose.
		Self Illuminated Magnifying Glass
		This equipment is used for assembling and testing the repaired Printheads.

		This equipment is used for testing all types of print heads. This equipment can not only test the firing of individual pins but also test the impedance of all the coils.
		Ultrasonic Cleaning Machine and Dryer
		An industrial ultrasonic machine is used for cleaning the residual ink and grease from printheads and its parts.

		Man Power Requirements
		Printhead refurbishing is a highly manual and labour intensive job. It requires highly skilled technicians to get the required results.
		A staff of two technicians can refurbish upto 20 printheads in a day.

		Spares
	The major spares required for Printhead Refurbishing are,
	Pins
	These are custom made high precision pins. These pins are available with head or without head, depending on the type of print head.
	Guides
	These are made of Nylon, Zirconia or Ruby & are highly precise assemblies.
	Cables
	Certain Printheads have a flexible PCB attached to them. Most of these cables are available with us. We also develop these cables as per customers requirments and designs.
	Coils
	Coils may not be available for all of the Printheads. We have some of them in stock , the rest have to be rewound on the old bobins.
	Most of the above sapres are available exstock with us. These spares are highly precise parts and produced under strict quality control. All these spares meet the specifications of the OEMs and are usually the same that are used by them.
